Personalized Drug & Alcohol outpatient detox from our office
If you want quit using drugs or alcohol but can’t afford to miss work or break your typical routine, an outpatient detox program may be the right choice for you.
What is detox & ambulatory detox?
When someone becomes physically and chemically addicted to a substance their body and brain become used to having that substance in the bloodstream. This actually changes how the body functions and requires the substance to regularly be consumed.
During detox, the individual stops consuming the substance and this allows the body to slowly return to it’s normal functionality. This process can be unpleasant as the individual usually will experience some type of withdrawal symptoms depending on the substance.
How Outpatient Detox Works
At our outpatient program, our team will develop a detox plan that meets your specific needs. You will see a medical doctor upon arrival who will complete your initial evaluation and create a detox plan that takes into account your:
- Mental health.
- Physical health.
- Substances used.
- Severity of addiction.
Outpatient detox can be an amazing option for those looking to take the first step in ridding their life of addiction and getting on track towards a happy and healthy life!
What to expect during Outpatient Detox
Detoxing at our office consists of three to seven hours a day, for 3 – 10 days, depending on the substance. You are asked to stop using substances the night before your detox starts. If you experience any
withdrawal symptoms in the morning, detox protocol will start
immediately when you arrive to help provide relief quickly
Make sure not to use substances during the day of your detox, as this may delay how long your detox will last.
When you arrive at our office, you will see a physician and a therapist. They will help manage your withdrawal symptoms and begin your treatment regimens.
